SERIES CONCEPT: THE ANALOG DISPENSARY
A psychological collision of raw Gen-X nostalgia and Rembrandt-inspired shadow play. These works transform the obsolete late-night cigarette machine from a mere dispenser of vices into a heavy vessel for the human condition.
Look closer at the steel panels and mechanical pull-levers. Trapped beneath the weathered enamel and coin slots are striking, etched portraits emerged from deep, dark voids—faces illuminated by a piercing, singular light source. They embody the private interior worlds we kept hidden in the 80s and 90s. The heavy mechanical chunk of the machine becomes the heartbeat of a generation that processed its deepest struggles in absolute silence.
We don't just display these artifacts; we wear their history.
